قبل از هر چيز برايت آرزو ميكنم كه عاشق شوي ، و اگر هستي ، كسي هم به تو عشق بورزد.

برايت آرزو مندم كه دشمن نيز داشته باشي. نه كم و نه زياد ، درست به اندازه. تا گاهي باورهايت را مورد پرسش قراردهند تا كه زياده به خود مغرور نشوي. دست كم يكي از آنها اعتراضش به حق باشد

But not irreplaceable
And in your bad moments,

آرزو مندم مفيد فايده باشي ، نه خيلي غير ضروري. تا در لحظات سخت، وقتي ديگر چيزي باقي نمانده است، همين مفيد بودن كافي باشد تا تو را سرپا نگه دارد.
So equally,
I wish you to be tolerant
Not with those that make little mistakes
Because that is easy,
But with those that make a lot of mistakes
For this will be of no remedy.
And make good use of this tolerance,
To set example for others.
همچنين برايت آرزومندم صبور باشي ، نه با كساني كه اشتباهات كوچك میکنند. چون اين كار ساده اي است ، بلكه با كساني كه اشتباهات بزرگ و جبران ناپذير ميكنند. و با كاربرد درست صبوريت براي ديگران نمونه شوي.
I wish that being young,
You don’t mature too quickly
And once you’re mature,
Don’t insist in getting younger.
And when you’re old,
Don’t make despair
Because each age
Has its pain and pleasure.
And these are necessary
To have them influence amongst us.
اميدوارم اگر جوان هستي ، خيلي به تعجيل ، رسيده نشوي. و اگر رسيده اي ، به جوان نمائي اصرار نورزي . و اگر پيري ،تسليم نا اميدي نشوي چرا كه هر سني خوشي و ناخوشي خودش را دارد . و لازم است بگذاريم در ما جريان یابد.

در ضمن برایت آرزو ميكنم که حداقل یکبار در روز ناراحت شوی، و در این روز از تو میخواهم تا بفهمى دوست داشتن هر روز چه خوب است و خنده مدام ملال آور است و یک بیمارى.
I wish that you discover
With a maximum urgency
That above and inspite of everything,
There are people around you
Who are depressed,
Unhappy and are treated unjustly.
اميدوارم هر چه سریعتر بفهمى که على رغم همه اینها ، در اطراف تو کسانى هستند که افسرده و غمگین اند و با آنها منصفانه رفتار نمیشود.
I wish that you caress a cat,
You feed a bird
And listen to its chirp as well,
As it sings triumphantly
Its early morning song.
Because in this way,
You will feel good for nothing.
اميدوارم سگي را نوازش كني ، به پرنده اي دانه بدهي و به آواز يك سهره گوش كني ، وقتي كه آواي سحرگاهيش را سر ميدهد. چراكه به اين طريق به رایگان احساس زيبايي خواهي يافت .
And then I wish you
sowing a seed
Even if it is very little.

اميدوارم كه دانه اي هم بر خاك بفشاني، هر چند خرد بوده باشد ، و با روييدنش همراه شوي تا دریابی چقدر زندگي در يك درخت وجود دارد.

Put some of these money infront of you
And say “This is mine only”:

به علاوه اميدوارم پول داشته باشي ، زيرا در عمل به آن نيازمندي. و سالي يكبار پولت را جلو رويت بگذاري و بگويي" اين مال من است. فقط براي اينكه روشن كني كدامتان ارباب ديگري است. "

I wish the demise
of any of your love ones,
And if some of them die,
You could cry without lament
And without feeling guilty.
همچنين مرگ يكي از عزيزانت را برايت آرزو ميكنم، که اگر یکي از آنها از این دنیا رفت بتوانى بدون احساس گناه گریه کنى.
Finally,
I wish for you that being a man,
You had a good woman
And being a woman,
To have a good man.
Tomorrow and the day after.
And once they are exhaust,
They smile and speak about love
To start again.
و در پایان اگر مرد باشي ،آرزومندم زن خوبي داشته باشي. و اگر زني ، شوهر خوبي داشته باشی. كه اگر فردا خسته باشيد ، يا پس فردا شادمان ، باز هم از عشق حرف برانيد تا از نو بيآغازيد.
