Once upon a time, there was a big forest called the "Green Paradise",
and not far away from it, the sun shined on the waves of a blue sea.
The animals of the forest had a human friend. His name was "JOHN".
John lived with his family close to the forest. He loved animals and
among them, he had three close friends. "Tiny" was an elephant,
"Auricular" was a donkey with long ears and "Spidy" was a little black spider.
John had found a small cottage just outside the forest and near his family.
He stayed there most of his summer vacation.
During his staying, he played with his animal friends all day long and
some times they went deep in the forest to discover new things and new places.
Monday was John's 16th birthday and all his friends wanted to surprise
him with their gifts though it was not so easy. Each one thought about
his gift secretly, they didn't want others to know about it. They knew just
one thing, "John was crazy about pineapple".
At last it was time to go to the birthday party. Tiny and Auricular went to
John's cottage with their gifts. They talked and played games and spent
time waiting for Spidy until it grew dark. But Spidy hadn't come yet. They
had no idea where he could be now and as he was very little and dark colored,
they couldn't go and look for him in the forest. So they decided to start
the party and put some cake for him.
John opened his gifts. Both of them were pineapples! Tiny and Auricular
were not so happy about this but John didn't say anything. He was getting
worried for Spidy.
Suddenly there was a knock at the door. John opened it and saw a white
shape as tall as himself.
"OH ! GHOST! A GHOST! I hate the ghosts." Tiny cried, trying to hide behind
Auricular who was asking "John! Why didn't you tell us about your ghost friend
before?!" But poor astonished John, didn't have time to answer.
"Fresh pineapples dear. Do you like it?" It was Spidy's voice from behind the
shape. In fact the white shape was a wagon full of pineapples, which had been
moved there by one of Spidy's friends.
Spidy pushed the white cloth off the wagon. What a great deal of
pineapples...PINEAPPLES...Again Pineapples!!!
The four friends couldn't stop laughing. They had an unforgettable
night that night!
And John had a great deal of pineapples for his birthday and his smallest
friend gave him the biggest part.
